Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given wants to sign permanently with Middlesbrough.

Given is hopeful that his loan stay at Middlesbrough will spark a January transfer window move for him away from Aston Villa.

He said: "It's a perfect platform to try and get a move in January. I will keep every option open, whatever league or country that is in. I'm not bothered."
