Aston Villa goalkeeper Scott Carson will delay a decision on his future at parent club Liverpool until the summer.
"It's not a done deal. Villa just paid a loan fee for me until the end of the season and any time from now until then they could make it permanent. It's down to all three parties."
Carson added: "I can't really say where I'd like to be, because I'm still under contract at Liverpool and I don't know what's going to happen there.
"I like it at Aston Villa and I want to get settled for next season. But it's down to Liverpool, Aston Villa and myself to decide where I ought to be.
"There's not a lot I can do. I've got three years left at Liverpool and I don't know what Aston Villa are thinking. I don't know if there's anything else in the pipeline, we'll have to wait."
