Aston Villa goalkeeper Scott Carson doesn't regard potential rival Brad Guzan, the Chivas USA No1, as any real threat.

"I hadn't heard of him before to be fair," said Carson. "But since then I've heard a lot of good things about him and that he's a good goalkeeper.

"I met him when he came here for a look around and he's a really good lad.

"If Villa want to look at other goal-keepers then that's fine because I'm only on loan here and the manager can buy and sell who he wants.

"Hopefully I can have a good end of the season and show people that I'm a good goalkeeper.

"There's always going to be people coming in and people going out and you've just got to try and do your best.

"I'm confident that my best will be good enough."
