Valencia matchwinner David Villa hopes their victory at Schalke last night will convince fans to back them.
"The team has been very united, mainly defensively. The second-half has been totally ours. We always want to play well and to give everything, these days we have suffered enough," said Villa.
"It is not nice when you are winning and fans boo you. The solution is not to listen to the press and just play to win.
"We've only lost to Villarreal this season and now we must start turning in good performances for the fans."
