Barcelona striker David Villa hopes they can sign his former Valencia teammate Juan Mata.
Mata is being linked with Chelsea and Manchester City.
But Barca are also interested, as they find themselves priced out of a deal for Udinese star Alexis Sanchez.
Villa smiled: "Imagine what it would mean for me personally, Mata is like a brother I love him very much. I'm happy for his success and to have him back around me would be like a dream.
"Hopefully he can have all the luck in the world either with his team or another, because he deserves it because he is a great person and a great player."
