David Villa was delighted to lift some pressure off of Valencia coach Quique Sanchez Flores after his winner at Schalke on Tuesday night.

The striker said: "Winning in Germany has given everyone breathing space, including the coach. He was very pleased because we won, in fact we won without playing well, but this time the team was very united.

"The feeling in the dressing room was very good, you can see a united team and the joy that we all had from this victory has also reached the trainer."
