Aston Villa fullback Joe Bennett was pleased with his home debut in their draw with West Bromwich Albion.
The full-back felt Villa were good value for at least a draw on what was an "exciting" occasion in his career.
"It was my first derby so it was exciting," said the former Middlesbrough defender to avfc.com.
"Both sets of fans were up for it and both sets of players were up for it. It was a good game and it felt like a good game to watch.
"There were numerous chances for both teams and I felt overall it was probably a fair result.
"Going 1-0 down it is hard but we kept on going and never gave up and in the end we got our reward with Benty getting a goal, which was pleasing.
"I thought we pretty much dominated after that. There weren't too many clear cut chances but we had a lot of the ball. We played well, especially in the second-half.
"We were unlucky not to get the win in the end."
