Tottenham fullback Alan Hutton turned down Fulham to sign for Aston Villa yesterday.
The Scottish Sun says the ex-Rangers ace rushed to Birmingham just hours before the transfer window closed.
He put pen to paper on a £4million deal after Spurs boss Harry Redknapp agreed to sell him.
Hutton, 26, had fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane. Fulham were also interested in signing the attacking full-back and swooped with a late bid.
But Hutton accepted a three-year contract which sees him reunited with former Ibrox gaffer Alex McLeish at Villa Park.
