Villa's hat-trick for Spain against Russia this week was struck in front of a watching Real sports director Pedja Mijatovic.

Now Mijatovic and Real president Ramon Calderon want to bring Villa to the Santiago Bernabeu next season and are preparing an offer for the Valencia forward.

Real defender Sergio Ramos gave a hint of what's to come when declaring yesterday: "David would be very welcome at Madrid."
