Michael Owen is set to leave Manchester United.
The Manchester Evening News says United will listen to offers in the January transfer window, with Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier likely to be at the head of the queue for the player he had at Liverpool.
And Owen is prepared to leave after seeing Dimitar Berbatov and Mexican sensation Javier Hernandez now preferred ahead of him.
With Berbatov finally finding consistency and Hernandez's stunning introduction to the Premier League since his arrival in the summer, Owen's opportunities have all but dried up.
