Brett Holman suggests another rousing reception from the Aston Villa fans can push the team towards a much-needed victory this week.
The Villa Park faithful were in full voice during the 0-0 draw with Arsenal on Saturday and the Australian midfielder feels that another strong show of support can help motivate the players when they step out against lowly Reading on Tuesday night.
"It was good fun to be out there! The fans give you a rush. They're fantastic," he told the club's official website.
"You play for the fans and you want to do your best and produce your best.
"I will give it everything every time I play. You want to get your home fans on your side. That's the most important thing. When the fans get behind you, they give you energy.
"They get you going. They give you that extra step.
"It was a hard-fought point against Arsenal. We will take it considering they are a fantastic side.
"I think the positives are that we kept a clean sheet but also created some good chances. We can take those good points into Tuesday.
"I think it's a good sign for us that we weren't happy with a point. We have the confidence to have a good crack at any side, even against the likes of Arsenal."
Villa currently sit 18th on the Premier League table with 10 points from 13 outings, one point ahead of Reading in 19th, and one behind 17th-placed Southampton.
