Villa eyeing Rangers defender Wallace

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is showing interest in Rangers defender Lee Wallace according to The Sun.

The 24-year old left-back is reportedly being lined up by Villa for a £2.5million summer move with the West Midlands club giving permission for Stephen Warnock, who is attracting interest from Sunderland, to depart at season's end.

McLeish has also shown interest in Celtic star Emilio Izaguirre but the Honduran is not for sale and he has turned his attention to Wallace who joined 'Gers from Heart of Midlothian last summer.
