Aston Villa are expecting an improved bid from Manchester City for midfielder James Milner.
Villa have reportedly deferred contract talks with the England international as they await another bid from City which will have to beat the £18million proposal they rejected recently.
Despite the fact that City have added Yaya Toure and David Silva to their playing group, they are expected to continue to pursue Milner with a bid of around £23million plus add-ons in what has been reported as a five-year deal.
