Aston Villa say that they will do absolutely everything in their power to keep star winger Ashley Young.
The 25-year old has long been linked with a Villa Park departure and the rumours are gathering momentum heading into summer.
But current caretaker Gary McAllister says that the Birmingham club will do what they can to retain the England international.
"We are doing everything we can to keep Ashley Young," he said.
"He has got a year left of his contract so we are still holding the aces but we appreciate that there are people interested.
"It's been well documented but Aston Villa are trying to keep him here."
