Aston Villa defender Stephen O'Halloran has suffered a new knee injury setback.

On-loan at Swansea City, O'Halloran was stretchered off after twisting his knee in a challenge with Sheffield United's James Beattie on Saturday.

O'Halloran will have an MRI scan on his left knee today to discover the extent of his injury.

Early indications suggest the 21-year-old Irish international has damaged medial ligaments in the same knee that has just recovered from cruciate repair.
