Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne has slammed FIFA president Sepp Blatter over his latest offer to cheated Republic of Ireland.

Blatter suggested the game's governing body hand over a consolation prize after France's Hand of Frog goal when Thierry Henry's handball helped KO the Irish.

Villa defender Dunne snapped: "It's taking the p*** again. Give them a plaque because they are not going to the World Cup. They can keep it.

"There was no chance they would ever look at a replay - the whole thing is run by the French. Michel Platini is not happy unless he is slagging off the English League."
