Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne wants to forget about football after the Republic of Ireland's dismal Euros campaign.

They ended up pointless in Group C, having conceded nine goals and scored just one.

Aston Villa centre-back Dunne said: "You just want to get away, put your feet up and not think about football.

"I feel shattered. To have been waiting and preparing for so long and then for it to be over so quickly, the disappointment brings you down."
