Carlos Cuellar is looking to have a positive effect on the Aston Villa team now he has worked his way into the line-up.
The Spanish defender has taken his chances in the absence of the injured James Collins and out-of-form Stephen Warnock and with centre-half Richard Dunne set to be sidelined for around two months with a broken collarbone, Cuellar is eyeing a more regular spot in Alex McLeish's eleven.
"Left-back is not my natural position, but he has trusted me in different positions in defence and I assume the responsibility of playing as a left-back quite well.
"I'm becoming a regular in the line-up, now it is time to improve the results.""I am happy with the confidence the boss has shown in me," he told the Birmingham Mail.
