Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd is struggling with injury.

Herd has suffered a setback in his bid to recover from the foot injury which has ruled him out of action since New Year's Day.

He told the Wolverhampton Express and Star: "I was really hoping to be involved against Manchester City the other week but the foot just got sore again.

"It's a blow which I will just have to deal with. These things happen in football and you have to just get on with it, stay positive and work on getting back to fitness."
