The Premier League have ratified Tom Cleverley's season-long loan move to Aston Villa from Manchester United. Villa confirmed the Premier League's approval by tweeting: "We have signed midfielder Tom Cleverley from Man United on a season-long loan. Welcome Tom."
Villa made a last-gasp bid to sign the 25 year old United midfielder on deadline day - but did not complete the deal before 11pm.
They asked the Premier League to approve the move because the transfer was well advanced.
