Aston Villa first team coach Kevin MacDonald has been charged by the Football Association for improper conduct.
The Villa assistant was sent to the stands during the weekend's 2-2 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light for questioning a decision made by referee Chris Foy with the fourth official and he now has until 4pm on Thursday to respond to the charge.
A statement from the FA read: "Aston Villa coach Kevin MacDonald has been charged by the FA for using language and/or behaviour amounting to improper conduct."
