Aston Villa coach Simone Farina has weighed into football's global betting scandal.
Farina, 30, famously blew the whistle on Italian bribery after he was offered money to fix a cup game in November 2011.
The former Serie B player wants players in Britain to alert Interpol the moment they suspect foul play.
He said: "This is not a problem only in Italy or any one particular country. The responsibility lies with the players and officials of football clubs.
"Players need to be able to report what they need to when they are approached by syndicates."
