Aston Villa chief Paul Faulkner is delighted with the support the fans have shown in recent weeks.
Faulkner says they will be crucial against Newcastle United this weekend.
"It has been great to see the fans support coming out," he said. "I thought the fans were fantastic away at Everton on Saturday and really got behind the team and lifted them. Hopefully it is building into a great atmosphere on Sunday.
"Our campaigns show the fans are completely there backing the team.
"I know the management know what is going on with the fans this week and they hear that and talk about it. They know what they are seeing and hearing on Sunday and get that sense of support.
"For anybody you want to feel like you have people backing you and they certainly do at the moment. In times when it is not going so well as you would like they are still supporting their club.
"The game when we beat Birmingham 5-1 at home springs to mind. It was an absolute cauldron.
"If we can get it like that it is only going to help our team and intimidate the teams we are going to be playing."
