Villa chairman Lerner won't consider £30M offers for Benteke

Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner won't consider offers of £30 million for Christian Benteke.

The Birmingham Mail says James Milner's £26 million move to Manchester City, including £8 million makeweight Stephen Ireland, remains Villa's record outgoing deal and it would take a monumental bid eclipsing that sale to prise Benteke away.

It is believed chairman Randy Lerner and manager Paul Lambert would even be prepared to resist offers of up to £30 million - more than four times what the club paid for him eight months ago.
