Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner has jetted into England for the final 48 hours of the winter transfer market.

Villa boss Martin O'Neill confirmed: "The chairman has flown in and we will see what materialises. We are all aware of where we stand at this moment and we will see if we can do something. If we can't, we can't.

"For the current squad to attack on all three fronts might be difficult. We need to be exceptionally lucky in terms of injuries."
