Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar is confident he's over his injury problems.

Vlaar had missed Villa's depressing festive programme of games with a recurrence of the calf injury which also laid him low at times last season.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "I feel good - it's 100 per cent now.

"It was frustrating, after my calf injury in December, but I've only missed the West Ham game this time."
