Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry is convinced they can beat Manchester United this weekend.

"I don't see why not," said the England midfielder. "Our record against them is pretty terrible but the win over Arsenal sets us up nicely .

"I've played in a lot of games so it's a bit difficult to recall them all but I am sure the manager would say that this was the best performance under him.

"He was so delighted with the performance - he probably couldn't believe it himself. We turned over a team who had rolled over the Champions the previous week. It was fantastic to be involved in and fully deserved."
