Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill described Ashley Young's performance against Fulham as "world class".
"I wouldn't use those terms lightly but he was unbelievable. The crowd were on their feet every time he touched the ball.
"He was superb on the wing and then when he moved inside he played a wonderful ball through to Shaun Maloney for the winner. It was a great performance."
Villa captain Gareth Barry added: "He was brilliant. Throughout the game we fed him the ball and he tormented the Fulham defence, particularly the right-back who eventually got sent off. "If he can play like that every week, he won't be far off Player of the Year honours and full England recognition."
