Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has revealed he's working on two new signings before tomorrow's deadline.
"In an ideal world, it would be great if we could add to the squad," he told AVTV. "It would be great to get one or two extra people in.
"With Martin Laursen out, we are looking to try and add defensively. I just feel we could do with some more defensive cover. I will pursue it right until the end because, after the transfer window closes, that's it - that's your lot.
"I will try and do something, even at this late stage. There are a couple of things we are working on. I can't say they are very, very close but we are working on them."
