Villa boss O'Neill won't take Agbonlahor "out of firing line"

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill says he won't be resting goal-shy striker Gabby Agbonlahor.

"I'm not talking about taking Gabby out of the firing line,'' said the manager.

"When he played on his own for three months up front he put an unbelievable amount of energy and determination into that.

"I thought he improved as a player because of it. The irony is now he's getting a bit more help with another centre-forward beside him that maybe one or two of the chances he feels he should have put in have gone begging, but he'll rectify that.

"He scored against Blackburn Rovers and he's been a bit unlucky on one or two occasions.

"He should have scored against Stoke and he probably should have scored against Chelsea from that chance when Petr Cech made a save down at the right hand post."
