Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has heaped praise on Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson.
"He backs his managers and he's not a man for knee-jerk reactions. For me Gareth has done exceptionally well," O'Neill added. "He's come out of that bad run.
"He is a very young manager with loads of time on his side and I've been pretty impressed with the way he's dealt with the pressure and got on with it.
"Every single one of us is under the microscope and under pressure all the time and in every game.
"That pressure is always hovering and it never really goes away unless you're Alex Ferguson."
