Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill admits their UEFA Cup success has prevented him sending his young players away on-loan.
The Villa Park chief said: "A couple of others have come in indirectly and one particularly directly, but I can't do it at the moment. I will look at each case individually.
"I'm torn between the fact it would be great experience for some of the younger players to go out on loan.
"But then they come off the European roster and if they go out on loan they can't be put back onto the European scene.
"So if we were to make any progress in the UEFA Cup then we'll need them."
