Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is ready to dig deep to repay the likes of Gareth Barry, Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonlahor.

"We have got some people here at this football club, whose contracts I look at regularly because they have been brilliant for us," he told the Birmingham Mail. "And I will look at those contracts all the time. These boys have been fantastic for the football club.

"If you change and bring in someone else who you think is worthwhile, then we will look again. That's the way it is.

"If I believe these boys are worth shifting along, I won't even worry about giving them extra years."
