Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill admits he wants to deepen his squad in January.
O'Neill told Villa's website: "I don't see it as a problem keeping people's feet on the ground. We got off to a decent start last season, and I accept we've got a lot more resilience and we're a better team.
"But knowing the size of our squad we need to keep the players fit, and, touch wood, they have been a bit lucky in that department.
"We've got a long way to go between now and January. We haven't got that many players but you could go through the season with 33 players and have lots of injuries.
"But we couldn't afford that at the moment - we'd be in a lot of trouble. January will give me a chance to have a look at the situation then."
