Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has been spotted at Bayern Munich matches recently, sparking speculation that the Irishman could be planning a bold bid for Bastian Schweinsteiger.

The Germany midfielder has been linked with Serie A giants Juventus and Inter in the Munich media but it has also been suggested that O'Neill is an admirer of his talents and considering an ambitious move in the summer.

With the 23-year-old chasing domestic and Uefa Cup glory this term, he would obviously have no shortage of takers if he was to consider leaving Bayern at the end of the campaign.
