Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill admits he was keen on former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra.

Diarra joined Arsenal on Friday and O'Neill revealed: "I saw that we were linked with Lassana Diarra, but I spoke to his agent weeks ago and he always wanted to go to Arsenal. But that wasn't a problem."
