Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is confident Jonathan Hogg can bounce back from a serious knee injury.

He was the victim of a shocking tackle while playing for the reserves at Tottenham, again in the opening few days of March, and faces a long spell out but O'Neill says the 19-year-old midfielder will not be throwing in the towel on his career.

"If anyone can do it, he has the mentality to do it,'' he said.
