Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill knows they will have to watch Ajax star Klaas-Jan Huntelaar if they want success in tonight's UEFA Cup clash.

Huntelaar was the subject of a £25million bid from Manchester City on deadline day and Van Basten, whose side are a lowly ninth in the Dutch League, knows he is lucky still to have the striker.

O'Neill said: "He can score goals. It seems as if he has been chased by every side in European football for the last year and a half. He's a quality player.

"If Ajax wanted to sell him and the player wanted to go then there will be no shortage of takers."
