Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is delighted to see Tony Adams named new Portsmouth manager.

"I am absolutely delighted for him," O'Neill told Sky Sports News. "He has tried management before at Wycombe and I think he will now be equipped to take the job.

"He will know the players inside out and he has worked for Harry for a good period so he will have learned a lot.

"Everything else is up to him but it is a great opportunity."
