Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has left no-one in doubt over his feelings about the future of Nathan Delfouneso.
After the teenager's scoring debut last night against MSK Zilina, O'Neill told AVTV: "He's a player in the making, no doubt about it.
"He was great - really brilliant. He has a genuine future ahead of him. He didn't let anyone down. I knew what he was capable of and he showed that against Zilina.
"He is capable of becoming a real player because he has blinding ability. That always gives you a chance.
"I know that blinding ability doesn't mean you will become a great professional footballer.
"You have to have lots of others things - courage, determination as well as phenomenal enthusiasm to go out and impress every single week. I honestly think he has all of those things. It would disappoint me if he didn't.
"I have seen lads with his talent disappear into oblivion within two years of becoming a professional footballer but I don't think it will happen to Nathan. I think he will be absolutely fine."
