Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has reaffirmed defender Wilfred Bouma will be offered a new contract despite suffering a long-term ankle injury in the second leg of the Intertoto Cup clash with Odense BK.
Villa were already in talks with Bouma about a fresh deal after taking up a 12-month option on his previous contract.
O'Neill said: "We've signed Gabriel Agbonlahor and John Carew on new contracts and I also would like to get Wilfred Bouma sorted out. That is something we would look to do."
