Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill says fullback Stephen Warnock can play his way into England's World Cup squad.
"He has loads of ability and enthusiasm and is very versatile - which is very important for us," said the Villa boss.
"He can play in a number of positions and has done for Blackburn. I am just delighted to have him.
"He played midfield against us last season and scored a goal. If players have to move around different positions, it is no bad thing.
"The more you can adapt in different positions, that is looked on favourably by most managers - not only at club but international level as well."
