Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has confirmed he will renew his chase for a right full-back when the transfer window reopens.
O'Neill failed to land a right-sided full-back during the window, meaning Olof Mellberg was forced to fill in against Chelsea last weekend.
However, O'Neill is undeterred in his bid to strengthen at the back and has stated he will again look to strengthen come the New Year.
"In the end, I'd like to have had a natural right-back in the team that we were hoping to get," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"Things didn't materialise in the way I'd have liked them to have done and I still believe now that it's worth waiting for until January time."
