Villa boss O’Neill: Young as good a winger as any in country
Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill says Ashley Young can play on the right-side of England's midfield in South Africa.
For the 2-2 draw with Wolves, Young gave both fullbacks a torrid afternoon.
O’Neill said: "I’d have no hesitation in recommending him for a role on the right. I don’t think there is a more consistently dangerous wide player.
"There has been talk that he doesn’t exude confidence with England, but he doesn’t have to show off. All he has to do is perform in the manner he does for his club, because Mr Capello is picking players on club form."
