Villa boss O’Neill: Tottenham’s Crouch was unplayable

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill admits they struggled to handle Tottenham striker Peter Crouch during yesterday's 0-0 draw.

O'Neill says winning the first ball against Crouch was virtually impossible.

"Peter Crouch is a handful. He is more than a handful - he is a very, very fine player and he is terrific in the air," said the Villa manager.

"If we couldn't win the first one we were trying to scramble around to win the second one and we managed to see it through."
