Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is delighted the club are through to the next UEFA Cup phase but let down by the performance against Hamburg.

"I'm naturally disappointed. I thought some of the goals we conceded were fairly poor," O'Neill told Five.

"But overall I'm pleased that we got through the group and in the last 32 you will see a much-improved Aston Villa team.

"But I'm obviously disappointed for the people who've travelled."
