Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill was delighted with Stewart Downing's performance in their draw with FA Cup opponents Crystal Palace.
O'Neill was thrilled with Downing's delightful deliveries for both goals and the return of Stephen Warnock after a spell out of action with a shin injury.
He told Villa's website: "Stewart's deliveries were magnificent. His is capable of doing that, they were just magnificent and I was delighted.
"It was great to have Stephen out there. That game will bring him on.
"I don't whether he will have any ill effects from it but he saw the game through.
"He had some problems with his nose. It was bleeding for a considerable time. But he's back which is great news and I hope he stays back."
