Pop band Ash has revealed they have a fan in Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill.

Frontman Tim Wheeler and bass player Mark Hamilton came to an agreement with their fellow Ulsterman over exchanging tickets.

Mark, who is a keen Villa fan, admitted to the Birmingham Mail: "Leprechauns like to look after each other!

"I think his daughters are fans of the band and he got Tim into the FA Cup Final."

Tim added: "It was a good switch. He called me up when we were playing in New York and he was like 'How can you get my daughters into the show? I'll get you into any football match any time', so I was like 'Nice one'. It was amazing."
