Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish wants a decision by Friday from LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane.
The Daily Mail says the LA Galaxy and Republic of Ireland striker has already arranged to train with former club Tottenham until January 20.
McLeish wants Keane to bolster his striking options for the next two months but does not wish to become embroiled in a drawn-out saga as the deal is so short, and has set a deadline for the end of the week.
