Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish hasn't set himself any major goals at Villa Park.
McLeish says that his 'three-year plan' was simply to still be Villa manager by the time his current deal expires in 2014 because it will mean he has succeeded in winning over his doubters.
"If I'm here after three years then we must be doing pretty well," he told the Sunday Mercury. "I would say I want to be in the upper echelons of the Premier League.
"I'm not saying the top four, please don't say that, but up there. It's very, very competitive. Manchester City have moved all the parameters but I would love to win a trophy. Why not?
"You see what can happen at other clubs, nothing's impossible."
